Random Food Review (NYC)

*Food here will mostly from flushing when I went back for Christmas, I won't be listing out what I get but just general experience I had

Edit: I had to fix some grammar and spelling mistakes...

Jiang Na(江南)

Jiang Nan Flushing · 133-42 39th Ave STE 101, Flushing, NY 11354, Verenigde Staten
★★★★★ · Chinees restaurant

Since we had plenty of time to waste on Christmas Day, we decided that we should wait an hour for a table at Jiang Nan.

I don't usually set foot in Flushing Chinatown since my main hangout spots are around Manhattan Chinatown, but I've heard a lot of good things from my cousins about this restaurant.

I remember getting three dishes and three rice bowls. It ended up being over $90, as we expected. The portion size was small given the price, but the food was definitely not bad.

I do think that the food is a lot better than the usual Chinese food that you get in NYC, but the portion size was a letdown. Also, the rice bowl price is just way too high for me without refills.

Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings

Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings - Flushing · 39-16 Prince St #104, Flushing, NY 11354, Verenigde Staten
★★★★★ · Dumplingrestaurant

I remember getting around 8 dishes from Nan Xiang for 4 of us. The portion sizes were impressive for the price, and I really like the variety of soup dumplings you can get.

I also got youtiao and pumpkin cake for dessert. My experience was that the soup dumplings, noodles, youtiao, and the pumpkin cake that we got were fine but nothing outstanding.

The line was around 20 minutes when we got there, which is acceptable for current day Flushing wait times

Decent food, something you can get around Flushing Chinatown pretty easily, but I like the experience overall
